Meet Lakeshine

There's a particular kind of light that happens on the lake in summer. 

The water shifts from deep, moody blue to a shimmering silver as the light moves across it's surface.  The mountains soften in the distance and as the sun goes down at at day's end, the light catches the surface and turns a small patch of water into something impossibly bright.

That light became Lakeshine - the first quilt pattern from Arrowleaf Quilt Co.

I wanted Lakeshine to feel like a whole season in a quilt. In my cover version, that meant deep lake blue, clear blue skies and the yellow of the summer sun.

What season will your Lakeshine capture?  With yardage or fat quarters and endless possibilities for colour, you can make this design completely your own.

Designed for intermediate quilters, Lakeshine has enough movement and complexity to keep the making interesting while still using familiar techniques.  The construction is thoughtful, with plenty of satisfying precision.
